What is the interview process for the internship?

Successful applicants will be invited via email to an Assessment centre which will last approx. ½ a day.

What is an Assessment Centre

An assessment centre (or assessment ½ day) is a combination of tasks and activities that test your suitability for the internship.

You’ll have the chance to demonstrate a wider range of skills than you would have been able to during a traditional face-to-face interview

When will the assessment centre happen?
We will hold interviews on approx. 20th October 2022 at a location in Central London.

Why are you not just interviewing?

We are keen to apply a holistic process that assesses a number of skills, and we are also conscious that some people will be better at interviewing than others.

It’s important to us to be as inclusive as possible and we believe an assessment centre will enable this.

What skills & competencies are you looking for?

We are looking for people with potential and entrepreneurial spirit.

No prior experience in information security, technology risk or financial services sector is needed.

The opportunity is suitable for those who have 5+years of military experience or have worked in a military information security or technology risk role.

Why are you offering an internship?

We want to help ex-military veterans build on their capability and transition their military experience into a business context.

We have an opening for a  PMO/Project Manager and another for an Identity Access Management Analyst.

What is the structure of the internship programme?

A mix of shadowing, mentoring, on-the-job training, personal study and project & client work.

What is the duration of the internship programme?

8 months.
1st Dec 2022 – 31 July 2023

How will I be compensated?

For the duration of the programme, you will be employed through a fixed-term contract with a salary of £35,000 per annum.

This is the same as being on a permanent contract, except there is a contract end date to reflect the duration of the internship or a project.

Is there an opportunity for a permanent contract at the end of the 8 months?

At ThreeTwoFour, we currently do not offer permanent contracts, but towards the end of the internship, you will have the opportunity to discuss associate contract options, which we endeavour to offer to you upon successful completion of the programme. However, this will depend on what client contracts are available at the time.

Why don’t you hire permanent employees?

As a growing company, our strategy is to remain flexible to react to the quickly changing demands of our clients in terms of the number of resources and skills that they require.
Associate contracts typically have a 3-6 months duration with a 2-4 weeks notice period, enabling quick scaling up and scaling down depending on the client’s needs.

What is an Associate Contractor?

A contractor is someone who provides work typically for a specific project and for a fixed term (e.g. 3-12 months). Unlike an employee, who works within the company and is paid a salary, a contractor invoices for their time.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of being an Associate Contractor?

It’s a question of preference, however, you should consider how important job flexibility vs job stability is to you. As a contractor, you can generally expect a higher income and better exposure to a variety of projects. However, there may be ‘downtime’ whilst you wait for new contracts to come along.

We believe this to be an educational process whereby you will learn the job and specific skills using the following approaches, all of which will be specific to the job you are selected for and dependant on the great skills and experience you are bringing with you.

  • Access to self-learning modules

Access to a variety of tasks and client representatives.
